Benchmarking Tool to be launched
Fleet Forum will launch the Fleet Management Benchmark Tool in the coming week.
The tool was developed to help organisations improve their fleet management performance by enabling them to compare their performance to the industry standard across different sectors. This insightful information can serve as a basis to develop improvement plans and adopt specific best practices.
How it works
The tool derives its data from participating organisations that voluntarily submit quantitative and qualitative information about their fleet management practices. Organisations are invited to submit their data before the end of April 2015 using the Benchmark Tool.
Based on the data received, Fleet Forum will define different benchmark groups, such as the aid & development and commercial sectors. By the end of May, Fleet Forum members will receive two reports that will enable them to see how their organisation’s performance stacks up against others.
The personalised reports contain:
- An outline of the organisation’s performance based on the Fleet Forum Fleet Management Standards compared to the average of all participating organisations, including the results of the top and bottom performer.
- An outline of the organisation’s performance based on Key Performance Indicators (related to safety, environmental impact, efficiency and effectiveness) compared to the average of all participating organisations, including the results of the top and bottom performer.
The overall outcome of the Benchmark will provide a picture of the current state of fleet management performance across a variety of sectors. Those high-level results will be shared during the Annual Fleet Forum Conference 2015, to be held in Rome, Italy, from 3-4 June. In coming years, Fleet Forum will be able to assess fleet management progress on an organisational and sector level.
