The United Nations World Food Programme and World Vision, Fleet Forum’s long-time partners, will host the 2016 Driving Champion Finals, the final event of the Driver Recognition Programme in which the best driver from different countries and humanitarian agencies compete to be the best driver and win the award.

WFP is the logistics arm of the United Nations and the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide, reaching more than 80 million people with food assistance in 75 countries each year. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide, serving all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender in nearly 100 countries.

WFP and World Vision are the perfect co-hosts for the final event as both organisations consistently invest in the drivers and understand that performance management involves recognising both positive and negative behaviours of drivers. The Driver Recognition Programme contributes to driver performance management as it creates a non-monetary incentive for drivers to show exemplary driver behaviour.
