Satellite Tracking Roundtable Discussion

Seeking Interested Organisations to Participate in Satellite Tracking Roundtable

The Fleet Forum will hold the first in series of Roundtable Discussions designed to delve into specific topic areas of interest to member organisations. In direct response to the results of the 2008 Annual Conference attendee feedback to create these meetings, the Fleet Forum will focus the first event on Satellite Technology.

Agencies operate in a multitude of environments in which maximising transport effectiveness and efficiency is still one of the biggest challenges we all encounter.  Within the present economic climate, all transport operators are constantly looking for new ways and means to continue to reduce costs and moreover contribute towards the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.  There are many ways of achieving cost reduction, but one of the major contributing factors towards this general goal is "control" of where the vehicles are tasked versus what actually occurs on the ground in reality.

In this new technological era, there are modern high tech affordable solutions available on the market which can significantly contribute towards this major goal in the form of Satellite Tracking Systems and blackbox technologies.

To be held in Geneva on April 30th 2009, the Roundtable Discussion will bring together, both commercial providers and the humanitarian community to delve into the systems, requirements and desired outputs in a transparent, information sharing opportunity.  The end result being both parties get a better understanding of the others offering and requirements.

The Fleet Forum would like to open the opportunity for interested organisations who would like to participate in the event.  This includes satellite service providers willing to provide an in-depth view into specific system capabilities, and humanitarian agencies who are interested in exploring satellite capabilities for their own organisations.  If your organisation or company would like to participate, please send us an This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and we'll be in touch to discuss the opportunity further.
