5th Annual Conference
The 5th Annual Fleet Forum Conference 2007

ff_logo_vienna The 5th Annual Fleet Forum Conference will be hosted by the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) within its Headquarter premises in Vienna. Please mark 24-25 October 2007 in your calendars for this year's Fleet Forum Conference.

Vienna is a beautiful city and with the support of OSCE we have identified an excellent hotel located very near to the conference facility which is housed in a former palace.

Taking this opportunity, I would like to clarify a confusion that many of you have raised following our joint invitation for the Humanitarian Development Summit that will take place in Nairobi on 17-19 October 2007.

The Fleet Forum Day at the Humanitarian Development Summit, on Thursday 18 October, is a separate event and since the Fleet Forum is one of the main partners of the Humanitarian Development Programme, the Summit will provide an opportunity for the Fleet Forum to engage at the regional level, launch the Fleet Forum Road Safety Project Pilot training in Kenya and make contributions to the Summit deliberations. We look forward to meeting you or your regionally based colleagues at the Humanitarian Development Summit.

In light of the developments in 2007 at the global level, the theme of the 2007 Fleet Forum Conference will be Leading by Example - Accountable Aid & Development Fleet Operation, with the focus on safety and security and environment from fleet management perspective.

The Conference Agenda and the on line Conference Registration Facilities will be made available by the beginning of September through the Fleet Forum website.

We look forward to hearing from you soon and meeting you in Vienna in October.
