Environment workshop held in Geneva, 24-25 February 2009

On 24-25 February 2009, the Fleet Forum and UNEP, hosted by ICRC in Geneva, held a workshop that focused on addressing the environmental impact of  fleets and devising practical solution plans for immediate and long-term improvements.  A follow-on to the 2007 workshop on the UNEP Clean Fleets Tool, this workshop involved a small, focused group, and aims to continue to raise awareness of the environmental issues facing agencies today, identify solutions, analyse the specific fleets of the participants and then guide the development of a clean fleets strategy that would then be implemented.
