Kevin Furniss | President of the Board

Kevin Furniss is Vice President, Head of Health, Safety, Security and Environment for AP Moller-Maersk Group, operating under the brand APM Terminals. He has over 30 years of experience in helping organisations around the world deliver cultural change in health and safety, become more sustainable, and manage their reputational risks.

A Graduate of Nottingham University, Kevin’s  career has seen him work across many different industry sectors with some of the world’s best known brands, including BMW, Ford Motor Company and Vodafone. Kevin was a key strategic member of the leadership team that delivered the £9b construction program on behalf of the UK Government for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

A globally respected professional in risk management, Kevin is a regular columnist for two professional journals on health and safety. He co-authored the award-winning Institute of Civil Engineers research paper ‘Delivering London 2012: Health and Safety’. This led to him receiving international recognition for his contribution to raising health and safety standards within the construction industry.
