Fleet Excellence Training in South Sudan 

Transportation is a cornerstone of program delivery and is the second largest cost to most aid and development organisations. Vehicle fleets are used to monitor, coordinate and execute last mile distribution of humanitarian assistance. Without a fleet (vehicles, trucks and motorbikes), it is impossible to provide aid to those in need. This operational imperative also creates challenges for organisations: improper fleet management leads to: 

Based on a recent needs assessment, the Logistics Cluster is partnering with Fleet Forum and OFDA to bring fleet management training to South Sudan.

 

Fleet Forum offers a comprehensive programme for Fleet Managers that starts with online learning, followed by a 3-day interactive classroom training and remote support over 6 months to guide the implementation of fleet improvements. 

 

The involvement of Senior Managers is critical in setting fleet management priorities and objectives in relation to the organisational strategy. We will therefore be organising a 1-day fleet management training dedicated to Heads of Operations/Admin.

NOTE: Interested organisations must register ONE senior manager and ONE OR MORE fleet managers

Costs

USAID / OFDA is a long-time partner of Fleet Forum and will fund the majority, but not all of the costs. Each Fleet Manager will be charged USD $300. Upon registration you will receive an invoice. Please refer to the invoice for the payment terms.

 

Additionally, expenses for travel to and from the training location and stay (hotel, lunch, dinner, personal expenses etc.) need to be incurred by the participant or their organisation.

Are you working for a local NGO? Let us know when submitting your learning agreement. We will waive the participation fees for local NGOs.

For more information, please download the information package. To register for one of the training sessions: please fill out the learning agreement. After completing the document,  save it and send it to Theresa.Dennen@fleetforum.org to register. 

Every fleet manager should fill in one learning agreement. If 3 fleet managers from the same organisation want to particpate, then they should fill out 3 separate learning agreements.
