Fleet Managers, WHO is looking for you!
World Health Organization (WHO) is currently on the quest for fleet managers in different
capacities:
French or Swahili-speaking, Country and Field Fleet Managers for the Ebola response in Democratic Republic of Congo
French-speaking, Regional Fleet Manager for the Africa region (AFRO)
English-speaking, Regional Fleet Manager for the Eastern Mediterranean region (EMRO), Arabic is desirable
Global Fleet Manager
In order to provide WHO country offices with a well-managed and operated transport
service, enabling WHO staff to carry out their activities in programs as well as during
health emergencies, a Central Fleet Service, WHO Fleet Services (WFS), has been
established globally.
The Regional and Global Fleet Managers will be reporting to the WFS Programme
Manager and work closely with counterparts at the respective regional office and country
offices to deliver WFS strategy and manage continuous improvement in the fleet of over
2,000 vehicles worldwide. Pilots are being implemented in selected countries since 2018
in AFRO and EMRO. Subsequently, by end-2019, a decision will be made whether to
expand to other countries.
