Driver Recognition Programme

Driver Recognition Programme

South East Asia:

After two highly successful programmes in East Africa, we are pleased to announce that with the support of PAE and RMA, Fleet Forum will be the Driver Recognition Programme to South East Asia. The programme will start in August 2017 and will come to a closure with the Driving Champions Final taking place in May 2018 in Bangkok.

RMA and PAE | Title Sponsor

Over the past 60 years PAE supported complex and critical missions by providing global logistics and stability operations in some of the most challenging environments in the world. Safe road travel is a cornerstone of PAE’s support, and they have undertaken the task of training thousands of drivers in various countries over the past six decades, with the dual objective of expanding their own talented workforce and imparting professional skills to the communities where they operate.

Green Coaching for Drivers

Reducing the environmental impact of fleets through Green Coaching for Drivers Program

Fleet Forum recognises the important role that drivers play in the reduction of fleet emissions and will develop, with the support of USAID BHA, a coaching program for drivers.  With the Green Coaching for Drivers program, we envision giving real-time insight into their environmental performance using an app as well as coaching and microlearning interventions.

Phase 1: Identifying the features of the Green Coaching for Drivers App

Fleet Forum will undertake research to identify what features are needed in the Green Coaching for Drivers App. This research will be done through questionnaires, workshops and face-to-face meetings with Fleet Forum’s humanitarian and supplier members.

Phase 2: Development of the Green Coaching for Drivers and supporting tools

Based on the identified requirements and specifications Fleet Forum will make the requirements available to fleet management system providers. We will also develop the coaching program within our existing suite of solutions and tools or by using an off the shelf white labeled app.

At the same time, we will develop management tools for fleet managers that enable them to interpret the information that the app presents to them and to put measures in place that address identified environmental sustainability risks. With the tools we will also develop training materials to increase knowledge and skills of fleet managers in the area of data analysis, data interpretation, risk mitigation, driver coaching and training.

Phase 3: Testing the Green Coaching for Drivers and supporting tools

Through test phases, the app and support tools will be fine-tuned until it meets the needs in the sector.  We envision that at least 7 aid and development organisations will participate in the test phase. Fleet Forum will set up frequent contact moments with the participating organisations both at global (or regional) and field level to discuss the results of the Green Coaching for Drivers. To measure the impact of the app we will conducts surveys with the participating organisations at the start and at the end of the test phase.

Phase 4: Launch of the Green Coaching for Drivers and supporting tools

During this phase we will undertake activities that are geared at launching the app and the supporting tools in a smooth way, informing disaster response and development organizations about the Green Coaching for Drivers existence as well as educate people about the use of the App and the supporting tools.
