Welcome to The Halo Trust, our newest Fleet Forum member

We are happy to announce The Halo Trust as the newest member to the Fleet Forum team!

The HALO Trust  helps countries recover after conflict. Clearing landmines, to save lives, is at the heart of what they do. They work with communities that are too often forgotten once the fighting has ended, a point reinforced by Princess Diana after her visit to Angola in 1997.

For over thirty years, they have been saving lives and helping war-torn communities recover, by making their land safe.

When conflict ends, land is all too often littered with landmines and other dangerous explosives. Families live in fear and poverty. They can’t plant crops or graze cattle and day-to-day activities like getting to school and fetching water are fraught with risk. True peace doesn’t come until their land is safe.

HALO began working in Afghanistan in 1988. Today they have programmes in 28 countries and territories across the world. They clear landmines and the dangerous debris of war, making land safe and supporting families to rebuild their lives.
