Theme: Collaborating for a Sustainable Future
The Annual Fleet Forum Conference 2025, held on the 24th and 25th June, brought together fleet professionals, donors, corporate partners, and humanitarian actors around a shared theme: Collaborating for a Sustainable Future. Over two days, participants explored what this collaboration really requires in an environment where resources are limited, but opportunities remain abundant.
This year’s discussions reflected a sector that is shifting- structurally and strategically. While funding constraints were acknowledged early, the conversations focused on what can be done differently. “There is no new money. We have a duty to be impactful". Efficiency, effectiveness, and impact are no longer aspirational-they’re the future license to operate.
One clear trend emerged: proofs of concept already exist, and now is the time to scale them. Whether its vehicle sharing or in-country collaboration models, participants were urged to move from pilots to practice. Donors, too, are changing. There is a visible shift toward collaborative funding models that minimise duplication and encourage cross-sector coordination.
A key message repeated throughout the conference was that you need data to prove impact. Whether engaging with donors, government partners, or your own leadership, decisions must be backed by evidence. Clearly defining the challenge and being able to demonstrate progress, was described as fundamental to attracting resources and sustaining momentum.
Another theme was the blurring lines between humanitarian, corporate, and academic actors. Speakers encouraged participants to forge bold partnerships, drawing on the innovation and operational discipline of the private sector and the research capabilities of universities. These partnerships are no longer optional they’re essential.
A major topic of discussion was the need for a humanitarian reset, above all, attendees of the 2025 Fleet Forum Annual Conference were encouraged to shift their mindset. The world is changing rapidly. It’s time to break from old models and innovate radically. This means rethinking not just how we manage vehicles, but how we collaborate, lead, and deliver impact at scale.
