Pavlo Brylov, of International Medical Corps in Ukraine has been named the 2025 Fleet Manager of the Year, recognised for his leadership and innovation in one of the most challenging operating environments.

Brylov’s performance exceeded the award’s rigorous standards. His winning approach combined route optimisation, right sizing, use of public transport, and seasonal mobility planning resulting in cost savings and a major reduction in the fleet’s carbon footprint.

Operating under the pressures of war, Brylov introduced carpooling systems, reassigned vehicles based on seasonal needs, and used satellite mapping to adjust routes after key infrastructure was lost. Just as vital were his people-first strategies: open communication and a culture of trust that boosted morale across his team.

The award underscores the critical role of innovation and strong leadership in navigating modern fleet challenges.
